Senior Vice-President PML and Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Defence Senator Nisar Memon has assured the KESC Employees Unity to carry their problems to concerned high-ups for solution.
He held out the assurance while speaking at a reception arranged by KESCEU here on Sunday. The Senator told the Unity members that he would also take up their issues on the floor of Senate and he felicitated the Employees Unity on a one-year extension in the service of contract employees.
He said that the present government has been working for the welfare of working class and particularly the steps taken for poverty alleviation.
On the directive of President Pervez Musharraf, far reaching policies have been prepared and are being implemented along with allocation of billions of rupees for this purpose and as a result of these measures, the poverty ration has started showing signs of decline. And in the next few years, effective results would be visible.
The Senator pointed out that besides Khushhal and other programmes, the development boom in the country are proving good factors for the attainment of desired objectives.
He called upon the working class to put in hard work to raise productivity level in the country, which in turn will steer the nation to the path of progress and prosperity.
Nisar said that nations who worked hard day and night are now reaping the fruits of prosperity today. In this regard he cited the examples of China and Korea and said that look at them where they stand today posing challenges to most developed economies of the world. The present government, he pointed out, is sincerely working under the leadership of President Pervez Musharraf, to make Pakistan a viable and stable economic power and efforts in this regard have started showing results.
