The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged an orientation seminar for newly admitted students of DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) and Pharm-D (Doctor of Pharmacy) first semester session 2006-07.
Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Manzoor Ahmed was chief guest on the occasion. Deans of faculties made presentations about the functioning of various departments and academic courses being offered under their faculties. The students were also informed about the semester system rules, exams schedule and other educational activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Manzoor said that the UVAS was providing an enabling academic and research environment on the campus, where a specific schedule was followed for classes, practical work, exams and extra curricular activities. He said that the university was equally focusing on character building of students, besides imparting them professional skills. He advised the students to make best use of their stay in the university, which provides an enabling education environment on the campus.
