Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasneem Aslam has said that Pakistan was ready to extend co-operation to India for investigations into Mumbai blasts. Talking to PTV here on Wednesday she said India has been misusing this unfortunate incident and irresponsibly levelling allegations against Pakistan.
To a question she said, there was no pressure on Pakistan from international community. Rather, she said India has lost its credibility at the international level because of over-playing this incident.
She said that many countries had asked India clearly that such allegations should not be levelled against another country without a solid evidence. She said, it has become Indian practice that they accuse Pakistan immediately whenever a terrorist act takes place there.
Tasneem Aslam said that Indian security agencies have always tried to prove involvement of Pakistan in every terrorist act. They use torture and other tactics to get confessional statements by people against Pakistan. She said, Indian agencies force detained persons to give statement that they got training in Pakistan.
To another question about Indian statement that proof would be provided to Pakistan she said, no proof or evidence of any type was provided to Pakistan, neither in this case nor in earlier ones. She said that India has been accusing Pakistan of involvement in many terrorist acts. Pakistan time and again has asked for proof but India failed to give any.
To a question about Indian Prime Minister's recent statement she said, 'First of all, India will have to tell us what type of co-operation they want from us and on what basis.' Foreign Office Spokesperson said, 'We cooperate with international community.' This co-operation and help is based upon some information or evidence, she added.
