The Lahore High Court (LHC) has returned the petition filed by family members of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif challenging issuance of notices for payment of excessive amount of wealth tax by the authorities concerned.
The petitioner has sought to submit some miscellaneous petitions in the main petition of the petitioners. The petitioners contended that the respondent officials demanded excessive amount of wealth tax illegally and without lawful authority. The petitioner wants to submit a report pertaining to face value and market value of the assets of petitioners.
