The DDOs Revenue and Mukhtiarkars of Hyderabad district while exercising special powers of judicial magistrates have paid surprise visits at different markets to control trend of increasing prices and maintain Ihtram-e-Ramazan Ordinance.
During their visits they booked 32 shopkeepers/vendors and recovered fine of Rs 10,400 from them under Price Control Act and also challan 2 persons on account of violation of Ihtram-e-Ramazan Ordinance with imposing fine of Rs 200.
According to detail, DDO (Revenue) Latifabad booked 07 shopkeepers/vendors and recovered fine of Rs 1,800. Similarly DDO (Revenue) Qasimabad booked 09 shopkeepers/vendors and recovered fine of Rs 2,500.
Likewise Mukhtiarkar Latifabad booked 13 shopkeepers/vendors and recovered fine Rs 5,600 under Price Control Act besides challan of 02 persons with fine of Rs 200 on violation of Ihtram-e-Ramazan Ordinance. While Mukhtiarkar Qasimabad booked 03 shopkeepers and vendors and recovered fine Rs 500 from them.
Meanwhile, the DCO Hyderabad Muhammad Hussain Syed while exercising his powers vested to him under section 14-A (2) of the code of criminal procedure has notified that Asadullah Abbasi, Mukhtiarkar Estate Hyderabad/Special Judicial Magistrate is assigned the jurisdiction of Taluka city Hyderabad to try the offences under "Price Control & Prevention of profiteering and hoarding Act 1977".
