The Karachi Port handled 183,434 tonnes of cargo including 170,449 tonnes import, 12,985 tonnes export cargo and 2,751 containers during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 102,752 tonnes dry cargo including 59,217 tonnes general cargo; 910 tonnes sugar; 42,625 tonnes coal and 80,682 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Ten ships namely Oel Aishwarya, Cape Santiago, Maersk Arkansas, Bunga Kenari, Marcalabria, Dareen, Le He, Pacific Primate, Sunrise Rose and Bryggen sailed out to sea during the report period.
Eleven vessels viz Cape Santiago, Bunga Kenari, MT Swat, Marcalabria, Le He, Southern Atlas, China Star, Al-Marwah, Ever Guide and BBC Trinidad are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely China Star, Southern Atlas, Han Zhong Men, BBC Trinidad and MT Swat expected to sail, on Monday, while two vessels viz Marylisa V and Ever Guide are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Three vessels viz Sambo Heron, Endurance and Iran Sattari due to arrive on Monday, while four ships namely MT Johar, Apl Dalian, Pearl and Dream Beauty are due to arrive on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 35,600 tonnes diesel oil; 8,877 tonnes edible oil; 532 tonnes sugar; 878 tonnes rice; 16,750 tonnes iron ore; 4,441 tonnes wheat; 3,899 tonnes chemicals and 48,841 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two ships namely CV MSC Eleonora and MV Sargodha sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, Four vessels viz CV Sinar Bontang, CV Kou Chang, CV ACX Levender and MT Al-Maqwa are expected to sail on Monday. A total of five vessels viz Artic Gas, MM Galveston, Brigen, Wai Mea and Moon Vazs are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three ships namely CV Sealand Independence, CV CSAV Ningbo and MT Artic Gas due to take berths on Monday. Three container vessels viz CV MSC Austria, CV Delia and CV Mega-II due to arrive on Monday, while two more ships namely CV ACX Plumeria and MV Serife with Meg. ore and containers are due to arrive on Tuesday.
