Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz taking serious notice of the reports regarding spread of the Dengue fever in parts of Pakistan especially in Sindh has directed the Federal Ministry of Health and the Government of Sindh to take all necessary steps to prevent the Dengue disease and spare no effort to remove the factors contributing to its spread.
Talking to Governor Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ibad on phone on Tuesday afternoon, the Prime Minister asked the Governor to ensure free availability of DHF testing kits for the people that are required to diagnose the fever. The Prime Minister said that all preventive and curative measures should be taken to check the spread of the disease.
He also instructed the authorities to regularly apprise him of the steps being taken to deal with the Dengue fever and submit a report on the matter. The Prime Minister said that the help and advice of the national and international experts should be sought in this connection. The federal government will extend all necessary help in this regard, he added.
