US Embassy has issued visa to former speaker of the National Assembly and PPP Vice Chairman, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, it was informed him on telephone on Wednesday. Now his name is no more in an exit control list. He would soon leave for United States along with family to see his son studying there.
The US embassy earlier was not clear whether an ex-speaker could possess a diplomatic passport or not. Now it had got clearance from the government that sitting or former speakers are entitled to use diplomatic passport.
