imageKARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, on an information regarding presence of illegal weapons and financial support to miscreants, conducted raids and recovered large quantity of weapons and arrested five persons.

This was announced in a statement of Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, here on Friday.

It said that the raid was conducted on two offices of a company located at I.I. Chundrigar Road and Hockey Stadium here.

The arrested accused were identified as Shahzad Shahid, Rajab Ali Rajpar, Ajmal Khan, Kamran Munir Ansari and Kashif Hussain, the Rangers statement added.

It said that the weapons recovered included 17 Kalashinkov, four pistols, nine ball bombs and 3,225 ammunition of various kinds.

During the raid, important documents were also taken into custody. After scrutiny of documents, action would be taken in accordance with the law against facilitators and property owners, the Rangers statement added.
