Wapda allows steel furnaces closure for nine days

Wapda has allowed closure of steel furnaces on consumer''s request for 9-day with effect from October 22 to 30, 2006. To avail this facility, last bill due date of which has expired stands cleared, the steel furnace is fed through an independent feeder, the connection is running on the day immediately preceding the intended date of disconnection.
The consumer will furnish request mentioning intended date of disconnection to the Executive Engineer (Operation) concerned. The exemption from payment of proportionate fixed charges for these days will be given in the next electricity bill.
