The Embassy of Iran has contradicted news items appeared in Business Recorder, on two occasions, including one on October 22 entitled 'Iranian ban on Pakistani rice'.
According to a press release issued here on Saturday the news items expressed dissatisfaction with the policy of Iran concerning ban on rice imports for a period of two months in order to protect the domestic producers, and contended that a sum of Rs 26,000 is being charged as visa fee from Pakistani traders and businessmen.
The press release further said the Embassy of Iran, in line with the strategy on development and security, and in order to facilitate commercial relations between the two Muslim, neighbouring and brotherly countries, has endeavoured to grant commercial visas for three and six months, and even for one year, for smooth travel between the two countries, and in case of the cost of single entry visa Euros 25, and for multiple entry visa Euros 50 are charged.-PR
