Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad said on Saturday that the ties between Indonesia and Pakistan would further strengthen in the future. He said the biggest Islamic country having 220 million people.
The durable relationship of both countries would prove to be a reflection of Islamic solidarity and brotherhood in Islamic world in future, he hoped. Talking to a delegation of the Pakistan-Indonesia Friendship Society, led by Muhammad Aziz, at Governor's House here, the governor noted that the two countries have close trade, industrial and cultural ties and both are time-tested friends.
The delegation presented a cheque of donation to the Sindh governor for quake-survivors. They said the Indonesian nation felt sorrow and pain from which Pakistani victims of earthquake were passing at present. They told that history of Indonesia and Sindh was of the same importance by Islamic perspective, while Indonesia and Pakistan were also similar to each other in respect of resources. Indonesian people had feelings of love and brotherhood for Pakistani nation, they added.
