The government always publicises literacy programmes, but it never considers about the difficulties these educated young people face in getting jobs.
The government should consider, on top priority basis, the future of literate and unemployed youths who, despite their best efforts, are unable to get proper jobs. There is an urgent need to set up employment exchanges in all cities of Pakistan to help the unemployed youths get jobs in the public and private sectors.
Job opportunities in our country and other countries should be announced by the government departments so that the skilled and unskilled both, could avail these opportunities. Now-a-days overseas employment in different fields of computer operations and programme are present, but the youth do not have much knowledge about them.
We need to update ourselves. In order to keep the unemployment youth busy, the government should start various apprenticeship schemes so that when jobs are available these unemployed youths would be having 2 to 3 years of experience in the relevant fields. As we are a developing country our society cannot provide as many jobs as the number of skilled people is growing day by day.
This results in migration of these youths to developed countries, creating a brain drain here. These qualified people, such as doctors, engineers, IT professionals and other trained persons, whom we need for the development of our country, are here no more.
