A ceremony was held at the Pakistan High Commission here on Friday evening to launch a book titled "Rodeo Drive to Raja Bazaar," written by a United Kingdom-based Pakistani Ayesha Ijaz Khan.
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan High Commissioner Dr Maleeha Lodhi said the author had written about the joy and challenges of Pakistanis living in two different worlds and also raised profound issues facing in the aftermath of 9/11.
She said Ayesha Ijaz was a practising lawyer who had lived in United States, Saudi Arabia, UK and Pakistan and had experienced both the Western and Eastern cultures.
Ayesha said the book, which took three years to complete, was a novel narrated by a young girl caught between the two worlds, the land of her birth and that of her origin.
