LARKANA: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday finally made his big announcement, revealing that he and his son Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will take part in election to sit in the current Parliament.
Zardari announcements came during an address to a gathering in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in connection with 9th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto.
I will contest the election on my sisters seat and Bilawal on Soomro sahib's seat, Zardari said, while speaking to the party workers.
During his address, Zardari said that PPP would not spare the monarchy in the country. He claimed that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharifs party had not won the elections and PPP had handed over the power in good faith.
We will not spare the Mughal emperors. We had handed you over this politics as trust but deplorably you did not fulfill promises Mian Brothers are not politically strong, Nawaz Sharif is unable to handle the government, Zardari said.
He said that for democracy, you have to give sacrifices, and recalled that even Benazir Bhutto was assassinated.
Asif Ali Zardari said his party has no objection over an Ehtesab Commissioner picked by the Supreme Court. We are not afraid of courts, he said, adding, The case in which Babar Awans license was cancelled should also be reopened.
This war is not for the seat but for the sake of Pakistan and constitution, Zardari said in his brief speech.
Thousands of PPP workers and supporters in caravans reached Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Naudero and Larkana from different parts of the country to pay tributes to their leader.
