LCCI President Shahid Hassan Sheikh, on behalf of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on Wednesday presented a cheque of Rs 3 million to the chief executive officer Shalamar Hospital Dr Rashid for CT scan machine of the hospital.
According to the LCCI's spokesman here on Wednesday, the LCCI had already given an amount Rs 10 million for this purpose and the hospital had installed CT scan machine.
The ceremony was also attended by LCCI SVP Yaqoob Tahir Izhar, VP Mubasher Sheikh, executive committee members and former LCCI president Mian Misbahur Rehman and others. Haji Inam Elahi Asr, the CEO of the hospital, received the cheque.
Speaking on the occasion, the LCCI president said that Lahore Chamber would continue to serve the ailing humanity with missionary zeal. He said that the amount being given to the Shalamar Hospital was collected through Achievement Awards 2006.
"The installation of CT scan machine was a dire need of the people living in that part of the city and the Lahore Chamber decided to donate the machine to the hospital to cater to the needs of the people who could not afford private treatment," he added.
Yaqoob Tahir Izhar and Mubasher Sheikh also paid rich tributes to the CEO of Shalamar Hospital for his services to this noble cause of serving the humanity.
