President of Pakistan Muslim League (N), Punjab, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, has disclosed that Nawaz Sharif will announce the date of his return to the country at the end of this month and for this purpose he has called members of the party's central working committee and all the district level presidents to reach London.
He was addressing a ceremony held in connection with the completion of three-year detention of PML-N President Javed Hashmi in Lahore. Zulfiqar Khosa said that presence of Nawaz Sharif in Pakistan was vital before next general elections. Khosa added that he had made it clear to Nawaz Sharif that party candidates would face tough circumstance in his absence in the country during the elections.
On the occasion, PML-N leader Khwaja Saad Rafiq urged his leadership to immediately tender resignations collectively and give a call to the masses to come on streets. He said since President Pervez Musharraf could try to get himself re-elected from the incumbent assemblies, the PML-N should, therefore, immediately resign from the assemblies. Saad Rafiq further said the parties, which were considering striking a deal with the government, should rethink their attitude.
