Arabica benchmark coffee futures added to earlier gains, reaching a high dating back to August 23 as funds and speculators continued to drive coffee up before Friday's close, traders said.
The New York Board of Trade's arabica coffee contract for December delivery advanced to a 2-1/2-month peak at $1.1280 a lb, up more than 2 percent, or 2.25 cents a lb.
