British Prime Minister Tony Blair will travel to Islamabad on November 20 for talks with Pakistani leaders on wide-ranging issues. This was stated here on Friday evening by Federal Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, in course of his address to the members of Pakistani community at the Pakistan High Commission.
The Federal minister is leading a 13-member delegation of National Public Safety Commission on a weeklong visit to the United Kingdom to study the working of various British police authorities. He said British Home Secretary John Reid would also be visiting Pakistan in January next year for further discussion on issues raised during their Thursday's talk.
This would be Blair's third visit to Pakistan following trips in October 2001 and January 2002 - both in the wake of September 11, 2001 attacks. In his meeting with President Pervez Musharraf, the talks are expected to focus on co-operation in the fight against terrorism, the regional situation, including Afghanistan, the Indo-Pakistan peace process and bilateral issues.
