The Pak-Brunei Investment Company Limited is investing in the industrial and agro-based industrial fields in Pakistan on commercial basis. A memorandum of association of Pak-Brunei was signed with authorised capital of $25 million here on Saturday between finance ministries of Brunei and Pakistan.
Brunei Energy Minister Pehin Dato Yahya and PM's Adviser on finance Dr Salman Shah witnessed the signing ceremony held in the finance ministry here on Saturday.
The company will carry out study of industrial and agro-based industrial projects and market their products in Pakistan and abroad. It will also establish subsidiary companies and participate in the equity capital of other companies having similar objectives.
According to a press release, the company will also assist in setting up new industrial, commercial, and other projects in balancing, modernisation, replacement and expansion of the existing industrial projects by providing advisory services or financial assistance on short-, medium-, and long-term basis or by way of equity participation. The authorised capital of the joint venture company will be $25 million, it added.-PR
