Bears strengthened their positions at the Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE) where selling-pressure intensified in hot favourite moved the entire ready-board in downward direction amid decrease in index.
The ISE-10 index was down by 65.73 points as it moved from 2,837.23 to 2,771.50 points. The overall turnover amounted to 140,500 shares as compared to previous volume of 291,200 shares. The horizon of trade expanded from 125 stocks to 130 companies. Majority of stocks (85) closed in negative territory, 45 showed positive signs.
The turnover of OGDCL was 39,600 shares as compared to previous volume of 103,000 shares. The volume of Pakistan Petroleum Ltd was 37,700 shares. The volume of Pakistan PTA Ltd 25,000 shares. Top gainer was Bank of Punjab with an increase of Rs 3.85 per share, while top loser was National Bank of Pakistan with a decrease of Rs 13.85 per share.
