Universities play pivotal role in the creation and dissemination of knowledge and help students in shaping up their career. Vice-Chancellor GC University, Lahore Professor Dr Khalid Aftab said this while addressing the students of master's and M.Phil degree classes, here on Tuesday.
He said, the 21st century has ushered in with new challenges and the best way to tackle all kinds of problems is to acquire quality education which guides a person in the right direction.
He said that the GCU students during their stay in the University were not allowed to take part in any kind of political activity. On the other hand, he said GCU provides congenial learning atmosphere to the students with all kinds of curricular, co-curricular, sports and research facilities to help them flourish their careers in consonance with the market driven needs. He urged the students to concentrate in their relevant discipline studies and produce high quality research work.
Dr Khalid said that GCU is different from others institutions in terms of its academic excellence, enriched traditions and conducive educational environment and added that today's underdeveloped nations need to excel in the realm of academics which provides the basis for making people in understanding the importance of progress and development which is improbable without education.
