The first superstore of the German Cash and Carry Company, 'Metro' will be functional in Pakistan next year. This was stated by leader of the visiting Chief Executive Officer of Metro Group, Thomas Martin Huburn while speaking at a reception hosted by Punjab Industries Minister, Muhammad Ajmal Cheema, here on Tuesday.
Thomas maintained that the Metro Group would set up super stores in Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi and Islamabad. He also appreciated the pro-investment policies of the Punjab government.
Earlier welcoming the delegation, Punjab Industries Minister, Muhammad Ajmal Cheema said that a German dairy company was also planning to set up a milk processing plant in the province. A delegation of the company will visit Pakistan very soon, he added.
