The Sindh University (SU) has decided to purchase another fleet of 10 Hino buses from Hino-Pak during current year to provide better transport facility to its students and employees.
A memorandum of understanding was signed in presence of SU Vice Chancellor Mazhar-ul-Haq Siddiqui by Finance Director Faiz Muhammad Hingor and Hinopak Sales Manager Shuhab Anwar, the university spokesman said here.
The members of University Syndicate Professor Dr Lutfullah Mangi, Professor Agha Riaz Hassan, who is also Professor Incahrge of Transport, Dr Mahmoodul Hassan Mughal, Muhammad Mashooq Siddiqui and others attended the ceremony.
The Vice Chancellor appreciated Hinopak for providing buses on discount rates, and said that in the foreign countries, the manufacture had special consideration for educational institutes, which helped them create market for their products. Professor Agha Riaz Hassan pointed out that the SU under its mega project of 2020 would purchase 300 Hino buses.
The representative of Hinopak, on behalf of the Hinopak Managing Director, expressed thanks to the university and the Vice Chancellor, and pointed out that Hinopak had been receiving orders from educational institutes of Pakistan for supply of buses of the same quality, which had been supplied to the SU.
The Hinopak has been supplying 10 Hino buses to the SU with payment of Rs 33 million each bus at rate of Rs 3.3 million. Hinopak would hand over the fleet of 10 buses to the university before the start of its new session in mid-December.
