Wheat futures at the Chicago Board of Trade jumped sharply early on Wednesday following a rally in corn to new 10-year highs, traders said. At 10:10 am CST (1610 GMT), CBOT wheat was up 11-1/2 cents per bushel to down 4 cents, with December up 12 at $5.09 per bushel.
Tight global stocks of wheat continue to support the market, but the runaway rally in the corn pit was garnering most of the traders attention.
