Kuwait's soccer team look to seal their place in next year's Asian Cup on Wednesday, still flying high after a morale-boosting 10-0 thrashing of Taiwan. The Kuwaitis hit double figures against Taiwan in a friendly on Friday and visit Bahrain for their final Group D qualifier on Wednesday.
Australia have already qualified from Group D, from which Lebanon withdrew earlier in the campaign. Kuwait have four points and need only a draw against Bahrain to advance. Bahrain, on one point, need to beat their Gulf opponents by three goals to pip them in qualification.
The 2007 Asian Cup will be co-hosted by Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia from July 7-29. In Group F, Uzbekistan host already-qualified Qatar. The Uzbeks are in second place with eight points, three ahead of third-placed Hong Kong but with a far superior goal difference.
