The Karachi Port handled 215,263 tonnes of cargo including 169,079 tonnes import, 46,184 tonnes export cargo and 4,851 containers during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 153,919 tonnes dry cargo including 109,289 tonnes general cargo; 34,541 tonnes coal; 308 tonnes cannula; 7,333 tonnes wheat; 2,448 tonnes rice; 44,630 tonnes bulk cargo and 61,344 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Seventeen ships namely Wan Hai 315, Maersk Arkansas, Kota Perkasa, Bunga Kenari, Lalazar, Miami, Global Union, Le Suroit, Aizu, Hai Huang Xing, Oel Aishwarya, Dong He, Kota Mesra, Kama Bhum, Pacific Jade, Pacific Pioneer and Alberta sailed out to sea during the report period.
Seventeen vessels viz Global Provider, Bunga Kenari, Pacific Jade, Kama Bhum, Oel Aishwarya, Kota Mesra, Intrepid, Swiftsure, Corinthiakos, Dong He, MT Shalamar, Wadi Al Rayan, Dream, Al Marwah, Kota Merdesa, Jade C, and Trans Atlantic are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Global Provider, Wadi Al Rayan, Al Marwah and Swiftsure expected to sail on Monday, while four vessels viz Jade C, MT Shalamar, San Jiang Kou and Corinthiakos are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Two vessels viz Chem Bridge and Sky Star due to arrive on Monday, while five ships namely Roseanne, Iran Shahryar, Global Prince, Tower Bridge and APL Dalian are due to arrive on Tuesday.
Two ships namely MV Astrea and CV Mol Kauri sailed out to sea during the report period, during last 24 hours. One vessel viz CV MSC Socogtra is expected to sail on Monday.
A total of seven vessels viz Sealand Endurance, Lucien-GA, Pacific Jade, Manyas-I, Makran, Piwa Maru and Genco Knight are currently at the outer anchorage. Two ships namely CV Lucien and CV CSAV Ningbo due to take berths on Monday. Two ships viz MT Chem Bridge and MV Trans Atlantic with edible oil and seeds due to arrive on Monday, while one container ship CV Nelloyd America is due to arrive on Tuesday.
