The Alliance for Protection of Human Rights (APHR), a league of eight civil society organisations, will stage a protest demo against the passage of the Hasba Bill in front of the NWFP Assembly building at 10:00am on Thursday.
The protesters will gather at the gate of the Nishtar Hall and would march towards the provincial assembly building.
The alliance members, comprising Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), Strengthening Participatory Organisation (SPO), Aurat Foundation, Khwendo Kor, Shirkat Gah, Sungi Foundation, Noor Education Trust (NET) and Human Resource Management and Development Centre (HRMDC) opine that the Hasba will strengthen the hands of the activists of the religious parties to promote their hardline activities.-PR
