Creek Marina will award its Main Building Contract to Guangdong Overseas Construction Group Co, Ltd (GOCG) at a lavish ceremony to be held this Sunday, 19 November, 2006 at Karachi Shreaton Hotel.
The decision to award the main building contract to an international company is part of the company's corporate mission to develop Creek Marina as a world class project in Pakistan to match the quality standards of the first world. The criteria for the selection of the contractor included the contractor's international track record, timely completion of its projects and the ability to mobilise the required equipment, technology and manpower to meet the project's quality and delivery requirements.
GOCG, headquartered in Guangzhou, China, was selected after several months of stringent assessment of the shortlisted international contractors and will be responsible for the construction of the entire superstructure from foundation upwards, including all civil, structural, architectural and finishing works as well as the installation of the mechanical/electrical systems for the project.
GOCG will take over all the forward contract works, including the foundation, piling, basement excavation, boundary wall and Marketing/Site office which have been completed in the past 12 months under earlier contracts. Meinhardt (Singapore), as the Project Managers and Designers for the development will continue to mange and supervise the construction works including conducting stringent quality control checks to ensure that the quality standards set for the project are met and exceeded.
Creek Marina also announces that due to overwhelming demand, the last 3-bedroom block will also be opened for booking following this occasion. In line with the rising demand and escalating in property prices, the price of the remaining units has also been revised upwards.
The event is expected to be attended by DHA officials, current buyers of Creek marina and other invited guests. There will also be a cultural performance by Zil-e-Huma. The emcee for the evening is the famous Ayesha Alam.
