City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that participating guests of IDEAS-2006 exhibition will witness a visible change with regard to uplift projects and beautification in the city where extra-ordinarily fast paced development process is currently underway.
Visiting different areas of the city on Sunday, he said besides completion of 8 to 10 mega projects within a single year there has been noticeable improvement in over all cleanliness, beautification, water and sewerage system and infrastructure of the city, according to a statement.
The roads and footpaths leading to Karachi Expo Centre have, particularly, been decorated and due to which a prominent change is being felt in the city. This developments a positive image of the city across the world and become a major attraction to the people, he said.
During his visit to different city areas, Mustafa Kamal reviewed in detail the arrangements made in connection with the IDEAS-2006 Exhibition besides the roads leading to the Expo Centre.
He visited Shahra-e-Faisal, Air Port, State Guest House, Karsaz Road, University Road, Hassan Square, Shah Suleman Road, Aga Khan Road, Dalmia Road and areas around Expo Centre.
On the occasion, the City Nazim issued special directives to the concerned officers and departmental heads in connection with ensuring necessary arrangements.
"We have accomplished the task given to the City Government regarding IDEAS-2006 Exhibition before the time of the event," he said and added that satisfactory arrangements have been made in this regard.
