Wheat futures on the Chicago Board of Trade were higher at midmorning on Wednesday as technical buying offset spillover pressure from declines in corn, traders said.
Options-related buying provided early support. Traders were positioning after the exercise of December $4.80 calls after expiration on Tuesday, traders said.
As of 11 am CST (1700 GMT), CBOT December wheat was up 2-1/2 cents at $4.82-1/4 a bushel after reaching $4.89 early in the session. March was up 1 cent at $5.02-3/4.
