No Pakistani denied entry by Egypt: media reports refuted

The Egyptian Embassy on Friday denied media reports published in last few days that Egypt had denied entry to any Pakistani politicians, or prominent religious leaders.
A press release of the Egyptian Embassy said that the fact of the matter was that the processing of visa request of Qazi Hussain Ahmad took longer time than expected, for bureaucratic reasons.
"The Embassy would like to stress that Egypt has always been in the vanguard to protect Muslim causes and to safeguard the interests of Muslims everywhere, and at all times.
Egypt stands ready as always to defend the unity of the Muslim Ummah and to work earnestly to project the true image of Islam as a religion of peace, mercy, compassion and peaceful coexistence with non-Muslims in the context of mutual respect," the press release said.
