Pakistan Cloth Merchants Association (PCMA) has demanded R & D support for exporting units located in export processing zone. In a statement issued here on Friday.
PCMA Chairman Ahmed Chinoy has pointed out that the exporting units located in the export processing zone had not been allowed the benefit of 5 percent R & D for fabrics and home textiles.
This facility has been allowed for other export units under the SRO issued on August 10, 2006 though fabrics and home textiles are also earning substantial foreign exchange by exporting fabrics and home textiles. Ahmed Chinoy has urged Minister of Textile Industry, Mushtaq Ali Cheema to allow the benefit of 5 percent R & D support to exporting units of fabrics and home textiles located in the export processing zone.-PR
