An all-important meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) will formally be presided over by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz here on Thursday. Sources revealed that host of issues, including endorsement of 30 projects approved by Central Development Working Party (CDWP) worth Rs 59.2 billion, would be discussed.
Besides approval of billion of rupee projects, far-sighted review would be done on projects relating to energy, health, education, housing, food, agriculture and science and technology. The meeting will be attended by the provincial finance ministers and planning and other high officials of all the four provinces.
