The District Administration Islamabad has issued code of conduct for stage dramas and theatrical performances to be held in the limits of the capital territory. Under the code of conduct, the script of the dramas shall have to be submitted to the district administration for scrutiny along with the application for NOC.
No indecent or abusive word/sentence shall be used in the dramas. Nothing shall be said or done which may hurt the feelings of any section of society, said the spokesman of district administration in a statement here on Wednesday.
Dresses used in the dramas shall conform to the cultural norms of the society. In case of any violation of conduct, the district administration shall withdraw the NOC without prior notice and without indicating the cause.
The need for issuing this code of conduct was felt recently when complaints against a drama regarding use of indecent and inappropriate language were found true and the administration suspended its NOC.
