Rash driving claimed six lives of a family and several injured in two different road accidents at the suburbs of Naudero and Taluka Ratodero, some 25 kilometres from here on Thursday.
According to details an overloaded speedy van carrying Bhutto family bound for Sehwan to pay homage at the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shehbaz Qalander, when reached bypass near Naudero Sugar Mill driver lost his control as a result the van turned turtle and collided head-on with a tree.
Four people were killed at the spot while two others died at Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana. Those died are identified as Najma Bhutto 40, Ameeran Bhutto, Bashiran Bhutto 35, Momal Bhutto 30, Salma Bhutto, Sikander Bhutto 5, and Husna, 13, daughter of Meer Mohammad, while the injured were rushed to CMC hospital for medical treatment.
Doctors and paramedics declared few minor injured to be in a critical condition as such the number of causalities can be swelled. In another road accident near Ratodero-Shahdadkot link road at village Jumo Agham a Wasayo Bhutto passenger bus hit the Qingqi rickshaw as a result six people boarded on Qingqi rickshaw were seriously injured and rushed to CMC Hospital for treatment. One of the injured has been termed to be in precarious condition.
The police have registered the case regarding the incidents and further investigation is under way, however, the drivers of both passenger bus and car escaped.
