The overall political situation in the country, implementation of development projects and the state of law and order in the North West Frontier Province were reviewed when Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz met Governor Lieutenant General Ali Muhammad Jan Aurakzai (Retd) and Chief Minister Akram Durrani at the Governor's House on Friday.
During the meetings, the Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said that government believes in the politics of decency based on consultation with all stakeholders to introduce maturity in the body politic and to ensure continued improvement in the political atmosphere in the country.
The prime minister said that the political stability and economic progress achieved in the last seven years have never been seen in the country for a long period.
The government is committed to advancing the ongoing process so that the roots of democracy are further strengthened and the pace of development continues unabated, he added. The prime minister was informed that the law and order situation in the province was constantly improving as a result of the measures taken by the provincial administration.
