Small traders of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) have demanded of the government to address their unresolved problems on priority basis while adopted five resolutions during traders' convention in this regard.
The resolution adopted unanimously by the traders including elimination of street crimes, reconstruction of civic infrastructure ie streets, roads, resolution of parking and traffic problems, improvement of cleanliness in markets, and removal of encroachments in the markets.
Addressing the convention as chief guest, Qasim Teli expressed solidarity with the small traders on issues they raised. He asserted that he would personally take the responsibility to raise and negotiate all outstanding issues being confronted by the small traders with government on all levels. He voiced concern over the unremitting street crimes gripped the city and said if it continued then traders of the metropolis would be compelled to stage a protest march toward Sindh Chief Minister House.
Majyed Aziz also reaffirmed his support to the small traders and said unless civic infrastructure and law and order were improved, the foreign investment would be difficult to come in the metropolis.
