The Plasmapheresis project at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) launched in collaboration with the Pakistan Myasthenic Welfare Organisation (PMWO) and supported by Mobilink has achieved good clinical results by treating the patients with fatal diseases.
A special awards ceremony was held at the PIMS Hospital to recognise efforts and services of the staff including doctors, nurses, volunteers and donors, which was graced by the PIMS Executive Director Dr Syed Fazal-e-Hadi, says a press release.
Speaking on the occasion, the PIMS executive director appreciated the task undertaken by the Pakistan Myasthenic Welfare Organisation, as well as the compassion displayed by Mobilink in the success of this venture.
It was worth-mentioning here that their contribution to this humanitarian project would go a long way in helping the under-privileged people of Pakistan, and benefit them affordable medical services, he observed.
Sadia Khurram, Director Operations & CSR Mobilink, who was also present on the occasion, lauded the role of the two organisations and opined that the project was centrally focused providing an opportunity to the under-served with quality treatment that would contribute in providing better healthcare opportunity to the people.
"Mobilink's contribution is mere a token of our concern for those who need help; we are determined to fight poverty, and shall contribute monetarily to projects which can bring hope and happiness in the lives of our people. It is our way of changing lives," she maintained.
