The Karachi Port handled 63,387 tonnes cargo including 52,695 tonnes import, 10,697 tonnes export cargo and 2,174 containers during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The cargo comprised of 35,578 tonnes dry cargo including 32,405 tonnes general cargo; 3,172 tonnes bulk cargo and 27,809 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Four ships namely Wester Moor, Jade Trader, Iran Babai and Anilia sailed out to sea during the report period. Three vessels viz Nautor, Global Progress and Tai He are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Tai He, Al-Qurtabi and Global Progress expected to sail on Tuesday, while two vessels viz Lady Kyria Ki and Kota Permai are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Two vessels viz Kota Permai and Global Union due to arrive on Tuesday, while six ships namely Mega-II, Hyundai Stride, Iran Hesald, Al-Manakh, YM Moon and George are due to arrive on Wednesday.
Three ships namely CV MSC Dongiovanni, CV Sealand Freedom and MT Sichem sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of six vessels viz Warbah, Sinar Agra, Legiony Polskle, Sturdy Falcon, Nedlloyd Asia and ACX Margurite are currently at the outer anchorage.
Two ships namely CV Nedlloyd Asia and MT Sinar Agra due to take berths on Tuesday. Two vessels viz CV MSC Deila and MT Sintoku with containers and chemicals due to arrive on Tuesday, while two more ships namely CV CMA CGM Nilgai and CV ACX Margurite with containers are due to arrive on Wednesday.
