IT audit moot from December 13

A three-day conference on income tax audit will be held under the auspices of Eastern Region Lahore in the provincial capital from December 13 to 15 in which income tax officials and others from all over the country will participate.
The conference will focus on various areas relating to audit in income tax department and a comprehensive strategy will be chalked out in this regard, Regional Commissioner Income Tax (RCIT) Eastern Region Lahore Haji Ahmed told Business Recorder, here on Wednesday.
The participants will discuss in threadbare the issues pertaining to audit work force management and its capacity building; as well as marketing efforts, ie, how to involve the taxpayers in the process of audit. The moot will also concentrate on how to evaluate the performance of audit and ensure whether it is properly done or not.
