The Karachi Port handled 92,284 tonnes cargo including 67,454 tonnes import, 24,830 tonnes export cargo and 1,824 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 52,579 tonnes dry cargo including 24,095 tonnes general cargo; 4,838 tonnes fertiliser; 7,849 tonnes coal; 15,797 tonnes clinkers and 39,705 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely Jade-C, Amasis, Ju Fu Men, Goldensari Indha and Nantor sailed out to sea during the report period.
Two vessels viz MT Opal and Gallant Wave are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Jaeger, MT Opal and Gallant Wave expected to sail on Tuesday, while two vessels viz Oel Esteem and Acx Mimosa are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Two vessels viz Pacific Jade and Acx Mimosa due to arrive on Tuesday, while three ships namely MT Lalazar, YM Mondego and Hyundai Sprinter are due to arrive on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 30,653 tonnes diesel oil; 12,404 tonnes furnace oil; 2,240 tonnes rice; 13,330 tonnes iron ore; 6,440 tonnes seeds and 39,746 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two ships namely CV Pacer and MT Stella sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. Container vessel MSC London is expected to sail on Tuesday. A total of three vessels viz Maersk Peterhead, Islamabad and Barbara are currently at the outer anchorage.
Container vessel viz Maersk Arkansas due to take berth on Tuesday. Two ships namely MT Opal and MT Pacific Jade with edible oil due to arrive on Tuesday, while another container ship namely Mumbai Express is due to arrive on Wednesday.
