Sindh High Court has declared the ban on teachers' associations unlawful and restored teachers' bodies in the province. A two-member SHC bench, comprising of Chief Justice Sabeeh-ud-din Ahmed and Justice Faisal Arab, in the verdict announced on Wednesday declared the government ban on teachers' bodies in the province illegal and ordered immediate revival of all teachers' associations.
The court also repealed actions against teachers, including registration of cases, stopping salaries and sending them on forced leaves. The government of Sindh had imposed ban over all teachers' bodies in the province on July 21.
