A three-member USAID delegation led by Amy Meyer, Director Economic Growth visited Tusdec (Technology Up gradation and Skill Development Company) head office in Lahore and discussed the ways for collaboration between the two organisations.
Acting Managing Director Tusdec gave a presentation on initiatives aimed at upgrading technology and skills of key and strategic industrial clusters and connects Pakistan to the Global Value Chain.
The projects being executed in this regard include Skill Development Centres in earthquake-affected areas of NWFP and AJK, CAD/CAM centres and common facility centres (CFCs). The delegation showed interest in the concept behind the proposed Tusdec fund and Senior Experts Advisory Services (SEAS).
