International Nutrition Conference will be held on February 23-24, 2007 at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Nutritionists' Association of Pakistan (NAP) announced here on Thursday.
The conference will have an inaugural session and four technical sessions, comprising General Animal Nutrition, Human Nutrition, Poultry Nutrition, Animal Feed Industry and a concluding recommendation session. He mentioned that the Conference would provide an opportunity to review growing scientific knowledge.
Dr Mirza further stated that a trade exhibition had been planned at the occasion of the conference. The reservation of the booths will be on 'first come first serve basis'.
The objectives of the conference are: to share experiences, new ideas and update professionals working in the disciplines of human and animal nutrition. Besides, to work for the general advancement of the science of nutrition in the country, to contribute in the development of nutritional policies and planning, to promote research and teaching in different branches of nutritional sciences.
Meanwhile, a national organising committee, led by Professor Dr Bashir Ahmed, Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, has also been constituted.
The Nutritionists Association of Pakistan (NAP) is a national organisation of educators, scientists, animal nutritionists, technologists, producers, project leaders and development experts who lead food & feed sectors to improve human nutrition and sustainable livestock & poultry production.
