This is with reference to the Letters to the Editor column, "Turning a deaf ear," published on December 11, 2006 in your esteemed newspaper regarding telephone 4658307, 4641992, 4641995, 4641997, 4643003, 4623333, 4650968 and 4653111, which were out of order.
The PTCL would like to clarify that the officer concerned himself visited the customers' premises and fixed the cable and the lines were restored the same day. It may be mentioned here that the cable had been damaged due to construction activities by the civic authorities that caused delay in the restoration of telephone lines.
