The President and CEO of the Samsung Middle East and Africa Headquarters (MEAHQ) Chiwon Suh is currently visiting Pakistan to establish the company's firm commitment in a growing market. Samsung Electronics is the global digital technology innovator.
Suh is a Samsung veteran of over 23 years and is leading the company's business in the Middle East region that comprises of the GCC countries which include Pakistan.
As President and CEO of Samsung MEA, Suh plays a key role in comprehending Samsung's global vision of digital convergence to consumer in the MEA region in addition to introducing the company's most advanced, cutting-edge digital products. With a key mandate to consolidate and further strengthen Samsung's market presence in the MEA region, Suh's focus in 2007 will be to reiterate Samsung's commitment to bridge the digital divide in the region and position the company as the No 1 player for digital convergence products.
Suh started his career with Samsung, and has held several senior positions, spearheading different business divisions across a number of geographies. Prior to becoming the President of the MEA region, he played an integral role in establishing Samsung's presence in the overseas market. Suh worked in Moscow for three years as the Head of Information Technology products, was the Country Manager for Ukraine and was the Vice President of Global Strategy for Samsung's Global Marketing Operations (GMO), which is the staff office to the Vice Chairman of the company.
Suh has done his post-graduation in business from Korea's premier Yonsei University.
