The Institute of Architects of Pakistan organised its third international exhibition of 'HOME AND BUILDING' products, IAPEX 2007 lasted from January 12-14 at the EPB Expo Centre.
The IAPEX 2007 is the first of the series of events to celebrate the Golden Jubilee year of the Institute of Architects of Pakistan. IAPEX 2007 showcased traditional and contemporary home products and budding materials and finishes, furnishings, hardware, building chemicals, electrical, plumbing and air conditioning related equipment, home furnishings, home decor, furniture, fixtures and fittings, garden tools and accessories, and many other related building and home products manufactured in Pakistan and abroad.
Architects, homeowners, contractors, builders and people from all Walks of life attended the expo in great numbers.
Renowned Architects from 10 countries gave presentations of their completed projects & engineering works to a new generation of talented young architects. The IAPEX 2007 was inaugurated by the Karachi City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal, who was extremely pleased with the exhibits and promised to work closely with the architects for a more beautiful Karachi in future. The President of IAP Ejaz Ahed gave a welcome address while the convenor of IAPEX 2007 and former president Syed Aqeel Bilgrami gave vote of thanks.
The closing ceremony was held on Sunday by Mr. Majyd Aziz, President Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He gave a speech and distributed shields and certificates to Architects and Exhibitors.-PR
