The Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) has awarded life term and ordered seizure of movable and immovable property of arms smuggler Bilal Hussain, here on Monday.
The judge of the anti terrorist court Rawalpindi Safder Hussain Malik resumed the hearing of the arms smuggling case against Bilal Hussain today and found him guilty of smuggling arms, ammunition and explosives.
The court has awarded life term to accused besides complete seizure of his movable and immovable property.
According to details, Bilal Hussain was arrested by Gunjmandi police on June 30, last year, when Police received information that a truck loaded with arms and ammunition was coming from Darra Adam Khel.
The Rawalpindi police found the truck No MGH-3535 at Chungi No 35. Two persons sitting in truck managed to escape while Bilal Hussain was held on charge of arms smuggling.
Bilal confessed in custody that the arms and ammunition was being smuggled to Northern Areas where sectarian clashes take place every now and then.
The arms recovered from the truck include: 15 rockets of RPG-7, 1 RPG guns, 63 82mm mortar rockets, 23 fuses, 9 boxes of bullets, 5 30-bore pistols, bullets of light machine gun, explosive C-4 2 packets, MG mount 2, Barrel MM mortar 1, tuner 1, 11 mortar rockets, 4 detonators, secondary 82mm mortar one packet, silver tubes 5, 7 magazines and prima cord.
