'New water reservoirs to help reduce poverty'

The construction of new water reservoirs will be helpful in bringing more land under cultivation in Sindh, which will ultimately bring down poverty rate in the province. Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly, Raheela Tiwana said this while talking to newsmen at Lahore Press Club (LPC), here on Tuesday.
She maintained that people of Sindh want more water for their lands and construction of new dams will make available more water. She was of the view that awareness campaign launched by the government had helped in removing the fears and misconceptions among people of Sindh about the construction of new water reservoirs.
